The Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)  or the Diploma in Education and Training (DET) was an initial teacher training qualification, studied at QCF Level 5 or 7, for teaching in Further Education(FE) and the lifelong learning sector of education in the United Kingdom. The DTLLS-DET was the highest of the teaching qualifications specifically for this sector of education.

The DTLLS-DET qualifies you for Qualified Teacher, Learning & Skills (QTLS) status. You can qualify for Qualified Teacher, Learning and Skills (QTLS) status.

The DTLLS-DET is for anyone working as or planning to become a full teacher in further, adult or continuing education. You should have level 3 skills in the subject you intend to teach, though a qualification is optional. You’ll need access to 150 hours of teaching practice in a recognised lifelong learning location to earn a diploma, and 75 hours for the subsidiary diploma.

The DTLLS-DET at QCF Level 7 was equivalent to a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education in Lifelong Learning or Post-Compulsory Education and Training (PCET). The DTLLS-DET was phased out along with the CTLLS and the PTLLS.
