Alongside the incredible array of cultural institutions and tourist hotspots located within the city itself, you’ll also have the chance to take a day trip to some of the UK’s most famous and historic destinations.

City trips:

One such trip could take you to Winchester, a charming cathedral city that served as the capital of England during the Anglo-Saxon period. Here you can explore the magnificent Winchester Cathedral, take a stroll through the picturesque streets and enjoy a traditional English pub lunch.

Another option is Windsor, home to the world-famous Windsor Castle and the official residence of His Majesty the King. The castle is open to visitors and offers a fascinating glimpse into royal life, as well as stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Coventry could be a perfect choice for history enthusiasts as the city suffered heavy bombing during World War II. Visiting the Coventry Cathedral ruins is a poignant reminder of the destruction caused by the war. Additionally, you can explore the Coventry Transport Museum, which boasts a collection of vehicles built in the city over the years.

For a taste of ancient history, a trip to Colchester is a must. This town was the first Roman capital of Britain, and you can still see evidence of this fascinating period in history throughout the town. Visit the Colchester Castle Museum to learn more about the town’s past, or take a stroll through the historic streets and soak up the atmosphere.

Of course, no visit to the UK would be complete without a trip to Stonehenge. This mysterious ancient monument is shrouded in legend and continues to intrigue visitors from around the world. Alternatively, you could visit Hampton Court Palace, a magnificent Tudor palace located on the banks of the River Thames, or head to the seaside town of Brighton for some classic British seaside fun.
