Description
Employers are, by law, responsible for providing safe and healthy workplace conditions for all employees. The level 2 Health and Safety course educates employees on workplace safety. The course covers various important topics such as risk assessment, infection control, evacuation procedures, and more. A combination of manual handling and health & safety courses achieves this.

Additionally, the health and safety course is essential for all employees, whether they are new hires or those who require a refresher on good health and safety practices. Furthermore, the self-paced format of the course offers interactive learning techniques, providing employees with the ability to train at their own pace and enhance their learning experience.
Modules
- Risk assessment: A systematic examination of potential hazards and the likelihood of their occurrence in order to prioritize preventative measures.
- Infection control: Procedures aimed at preventing the spread of infectious diseases in healthcare settings and other environments.
- Five evacuation procedures: A set of five steps to be followed in the event of an emergency to ensure a safe and organized evacuation.
- Statement of intent: A written declaration that outlines the purpose, goals, and objectives of a particular initiative or program.
Entry requirements
In order to be eligible for the course, a minimum entry level 3 Functional skills in English and Mathematics is required for candidates. Scheduled for a duration of one day, the course will take place from 10 AM to 2 PM and accommodate a maximum of 10 students, with an average class size of 5-8 students. Additionally, participants must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in the course.
